What is a P.I.T. Crew?
P.I.T. stands for Pastor’s Intercessory Team.
Jesus asked His disciples to pray with Him in the Garden of Gethsemane and again, in Ephesians 6:19, the Apostle Paul said, “and pray on my behalf.” Pastors and leaders need prayer and it is my prayer that you would be interested in being part of the P.I.T. Crew.
The function of the P.I.T. Crew is to be praying for the general and specific needs and requests of Pastor/s. You will be praying individually and in your home most of the time. If you are in the worship service, please pray silently as the Spirit leads you. We will also meet together once a month as a group to pray with Pastor/s and for each other.
One person will act as the P.I.T. Crew Leader and Pastor/s will give us her requests to this person. The requests will then be regularly conveyed to each member of the P.I.T. Crew.
If you are willing to commit to 12 months on the P.I.T. Crew, please sign your name below and return this form to Pastor/s. Your commitment is to:
• Pray daily for Pastor/s and her needs as she advises you of them. Examples of such needs are protection, well-being, funerals, weddings, new preaching series and leadership challenges,
• Pray for urgent items when needed (a covering of protection for trips, special events…) and
• To share and pray with other P.I.T. Crew members when God lays a special burden on your heart for Pastor/s.
• To meet monthly with the P.I.T. Crew and Pastor/s for prayer and prayer requests to be held up during the following month.
Your pledge will include a promise to pray with confidentiality, not revealing to anyone except Almighty God the things that you and the other P.I.T. Crew members are praying about for Pastor/s
